Key conditions from Rambutan's current functions pack.
How do I confirm a booking?
Tentative bookings may be held for up to five days. Confirmation requires the completed and signed booking form, a 50% deposit and credit card details.
When are food selections and final numbers due?
Food selections, full payment for food and final guest numbers are required 14 days before the event, with any management discretion considered case by case. Additional guests remain subject to seat availability.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations made four weeks in advance receive a full refund. Cancellations inside four weeks forfeit the deposit, while cancellations inside seven days forfeit all payments and deposits.
Can minors attend?
Minors, babies and infants require prior management approval, may attend authorised areas only, must remain in the immediate presence of a responsible adult and are permitted only until 9 pm.
Does Rambutan accept 18th birthday parties?
Yes. Rambutan welcomes 18th birthday celebrations provided a responsible adult aged 25 or over is present for the entire event. Bookings that do not meet this requirement may be refused.
Can we bring a celebration cake?
Yes. You may bring one cake, with a cake knife, plates and serviettes provided free of charge.
What decorations are allowed?
Simple decorations and theming may be permitted at the hotel's discretion. Glitter, confetti, confetti cannons, table scatters and similar decorative materials are prohibited.
How late is the function space reserved?
Function duration is confirmed before the event and coordinated with venue trading hours. Spaces are not reserved beyond 9 pm, and back-to-back bookings require the area to be vacated one hour before the next function.
Can leftover function food be taken home?
Speak to the function coordinator before the event. A waiver must be signed if leftover food is taken from the premises, and Rambutan cannot take responsibility once it has left the venue.
